I thought Gavranović's legs (feet) were not in the offside, while his upper body probably was.
Which begs the question, what part of the body is being looked at in an offside situation? Any?
Any part of the body that you can legally score a goal with (in this case --> head ). It was offside.

Gavranovic scores but offside. Will be called back.

was one of the most dominant and impressive runs (both final and semifinal) I saw in Womens Kayak lately. If she´ll be able to repeat this in Tokyo, everything is open for her
I know very little about canoeing and the last genuine medal chance for us I remember were Kolomanski/Staniszewski in Atlanta & Sydney (and they won silver IIRC). Any Polish medals in this discipline must be considered a total surprise

Embolo scores! Well deserved lead for Swiss.
-
Horrible miss from Seferovic. Swiss should be 1-0 up.
-
Klaudia Zwolinska might be one of our dark horses for a medal in Tokyo
-
Krejcikova wins first set 6-1. Only a mental collapse can deny her the title IMO.

I didn't realize Kevin Mbabu from Wolfsburg plays for Switzerland. I thought he was French

Ovidiu Hategan will be in charge of Poland vs Slovakia on Monday. He was the referee of our Euro 2016 win over Northern Ireland (1:0).

Obviously a slightly bigger chance for Tsitsipas now but he'll remain the underdog.
- thepharoah and Makedonas

So, this ball car will be used during every game of the tournament? I wait until it crashes into some player or referee

3-0. No max points in the predictions?

Turkey were sitting too deep. Own goal

Turks are sitting so deep Italians are literally tripping over each other - and the ref - around their penalty box

Tsitsipas beats Zverev in five sets to advance into the men's final.

Women's doubles final will be Krejcikova/Siniakova vs Mattek-Sands/Swiatek.
Let's see if Krejcikova can pull off the double. Last time a player won singles & doubles at Roland Garros in the same year was Mary Pierce in 2000.

Out of curiousity, how is this tournament 'living' in your countries yet (mostly asking to people from qualified countries, of course? I feel like here on TV we have a few commercials here and there, and a program left or right, but....it doesn't feel very alive yet
Same for me personally, I know it starts today, but it basically just feels like a bunch of Champions League matches in a short time or something instead of a real tournament, thanks to this 'great' idea of spreading it around all over the continent.
Well, TVP Sport has the rights here and just today there are 4 hours of studio before the kick-off game in two separate blocks. I suppose there will be more of that even with three daily games later on. It sure helps football is far & away the most popular sport in Poland so we'll get a ton of coverage outside the games. The quality of this is a different matter as I'm long tired of old-timer experts on TVP Sport like former NT coaches Gmoch and Engel who should basically fuck off by now

Talk about a low-key celebration. She probably can't believe it.
The likes of Jankovic, Safina, Dementieva or even Radwanska must be shell-shocked how such a random name can win a GS title
And obviously Karolina Pliskova, probably the weakest WTA #1 ever.
