Prediction Contests Are Just-For-Fun Games You don't need to be an expert to take part in a Prediction Contest. If a mistake penalizes you, always keep in mind that everyone is in good faith. Competition Details City Seefeld Start Date February 20th, 2019 End Date March 3rd, 2019 Participants 13 Gold OlympicsFan Silver Dunadan Bronze Federer91 Instructions In order to post your predictions, you have to do the following: Select with your mouse specified content of the Post named Prediction Contest Design Copy the selected content Go to Reply Box at the end of the Page, click on "Reply to this topic" Paste the copied content (When information "You have pasted content with formatting" appears at the end of the Reply Box, ignore it, it will disappear eventually. DO NOT click on "Remove formatting" under any circumstances) Once you have specified content in new Post, start making your predictions according to the Rules To post your predictions, click on "Submit Reply" button Rules Erase "Yes" or "No", depending on what your answer for each single bet will be. If you want to answer a bet with "Yes", you have to erase the word "No", leaving only "Yes" as your answer. Overwrite the "X" with a number between 1 and 10. Those will be the points you distribute for a specific bet. If you win a bet, you will win the amount of points you gave for that bet, but be careful, if you lose the bet, the amount of points you gave that bet will be taken away from your overall points in this contest. You can't leave out a bet. All bets must be given minimum 1 point. 10 points per bet are the maximum. Example "Norway will win gold in both Men's and Women's Individual Sprint" [YES - 4] - If you choose “Yes” and Norway wins gold in both Men's and Women's Individual Sprint, you will win the bet and get - 4 points. - If Norway doesn’t win while you said "Yes", you’ll lose the bet and points - 4 points lost. - If you choose "No" and Norway wins gold in both Men's and Women's Individual Sprint,, you will lose the bet - 4 points lost. - If Norway doesn't win and you said "No", you will win the bet and points - 4 points won. You have a total of 200 points to distribute for all 56 bets. You don't have to use all 200 points if you don't want to, but you can't go above 200 for all 56 bets. Use your points wisely. The user with the highest amount of points at the end of the Championship will be declared the winner. Should there be more than one user with the same amount of points, the first priority will be the amount of bets won, then the highest scores won in those same bets. If a bet is already decided before the start of the WCH (due to injury of an athlete) that bet will be eliminated from the contest and all users will be asked to re-distribute the points they invested in this bet, if an injury of an athlete happen under 24 hours before the deadline, February 20th, h. 12:30 (GMT +1), or during the WCH, the bet will count. If an user is unable to edit his/her post before the start of the Championship, then those points will be lost for the final count. You can only enter the contest before the start of the Championship. February 20th, h. 12:30 (GMT +1), will be considered the deadline. You can’t enter the contest after that and you can't edit your posts after that. Every contestant MUST HIDE their own predictions. To do that, you only have to delete the space between the bracket "[" and the text "hide" in "[ hide]" at the beginning of the prediction post. Do the same with "[ /hide]" at the end of the prediction post. The hidden content will appear to other users as follows: If you have any comments, thoughts or questions concerning this bet contest, problems with format, editing, questions etc... you can contact me, the contest manager, via Personal Message. Hopefully many of you will participate in this contest. The final words from me will be, good luck to all participants!

I can help with the lists for Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping. I can also help with the lists for Cross-country skiing if necessary. -
Ikea apologises after leaving New Zealand off a map. https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-47171599 Poor @Wanderer Wait! If New Zealand is not a country, according to Ikea, where did they shoot "The Lord of the Rings" movies then?

Vonn asked FIS if she could compete with the men and they refused. Then suddenly, Hadalin randomly pops up in the result list in the Women's Alpine Combined at the WCH. That is rude, FIS!
-
The start has also been moved down to the Super-G start. Good news for Holdener and Vlhova chances.
-
According to the weather forecasts I can find, Saturday will be the coldest day with a temperature around -21°. Sunday it wil be around -16°. Maybe IBU and the organisers know more about the weather situation than I do.

Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2019
Wumo replied to mrv86's topic in Totallympics International Song Contest
Fear not, Denmark will once again take part in TAISC. This time the Danish Jury will have a new member. Hopefully, this will also be the first time in TISC's history that the Danish Jury will consist of more than one member. Are you with me, @Agger? -
Nope, 4 left. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018–19_FIS_Nordic_Combined_World_Cup For some reason, FIS counts PCR as a GUL in their calender. It's very confusing.
-
A legend has passed away. Four-time Olympic champion and five-time World champion, Matti Nykänen, has passed away at the age of 55. Nykänen won 46 WC victories throughout his career, second most by any ski jumper in the World Cup. He holds the record for most Overall WC titles with 4 (together with Adam Malysz).
-
@Olympian1010 Who are you going to support tonight? I assume you will support the Rams, but you did mention Lions earlier this season, so are you going East? (Please say you are part of the majority who hates the Patriots . )
-
Okay not all, but I will say 50% watch it and 33% watch it live, which is still many. Apparently NFL is a big thing for many, especially, young people in Denmark. I don't know why so many political science students watch NFL? Maybe it's because NFL is so political?
-
It is finally the night...
-
Yeah it would have been nice to see Finland back on top of the podium. Oh well, maybe it will happen next weekend in Lahti. p.s It was Herola who came second, not Hirvonen. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=NK&raceid=2281
-
Jarl Magnus Riiber wins his 10th victory this Winter. With this victory, he has now secured the Overall WC title. He is the first Norwegian to win the Overall WC title in 20 years (1998/99 season, Bjarte Engen Vik.)
-
As expected:
-
Today's GS in Garmish-Partenkirchen is cancelled due to heavy snowfall.
-
Lindsey Vonn has annouced she will retire after the WCH in Are.
