Thanks. Was a bit confused because MHSN wrote "will be decided tomorrow" so I checked for the wrong day

yeah my mistake:facepalm:. Karate competitions are usually in 3 days. but we have an extra day here. (most continental championships have an extra day, I just forgot that)

I'm going to spoil it for you. Slovakia won the bronze :d

Thanks. Is it a surprise or upset ? I know we used to be quite good in this, but have no real knowledge of current situation to be honest, apart we are not going to qualify anyone to Tokyo mainly because of few quotas eligible if I remember correctly what you said me once at the start of the qualifications :d

that was a huge upset. not just because he beat the host athlete, Kvesic is already qualified for Tokyo through the ranking (which means he is pretty good)

there are 3 spots available in the last chance qualifier in June in France. I think everybody has a chance here but I believe we will have something like 80-100 participants in each event.

Awesome then. does not happen often to our athletes and certainly not in combat sports...well, apart Salkazanov and his ECh show ofc :d

wow that must be really damn hard to earn quota there for everyone. Thanks for answers :yes

Yeah, not winning a medal at home continental event spells pretty bad. But at least we will participate in this 'one night stand' sport. :d

Congrats Slovakia! They probably do have a couple of chances at the global qualifier in June.

    • Yes, that's Haaland's cousin Braut Brunes. If he has a bad day Raków is usually scrapping for 1-0 victory unless they concede a goal. Ivi Lopez is the playmaker but he's not as sharp since an injury last season.   Lech & Jagiellonia are the two strongest clubs right now, Raków probably #3. I discount league surprises and of course Legia which is stuck in relegation zone
    • On transfermarkt, Raków is worth 42 million euros and Jagiellonia only 32, but it is known that this is only a theory. On paper, the most valuable clubs in Poland are Lech and Raków: €42 million each. Raków have a strong Norwegian attacker from what I can see on internet.
    • Fiorentina gets another  club Raków Czestochowa in R16     Raków manager Marek Papszun moved to Legia lately and the club is slightly less demanding than Jagiellonia IMO. They're unlikely to score more than 1-2 goals in a game even in our league but have a better defense.
    • Fiorentina must play seriously from the first match, becous they played with a reserve squad in both matches against Jagiellonia, with the exception of extra time in the second. Unfortunately, Fiorentina are still close to the relegation zone in Serie A, which explains the staff decisions in the Conference League. It they advance further, they will probably play against Crystal Palace in 1/4 final.
