heywoodu 15,135 Posted May 17, 2021 #11 Share Posted May 17, 2021 What's Milak doing in the 400m free? And that was also rather mediocre from Rapsys.. .

Milák is testing his endurance at this ECh, he's pretty much using this competition as a "training camp", so don't expect the most amazing times from him in his main events. His only goal at the ECh is to win two gold medals, the best times are for the Games. heywoodu

Agger 1,662 Posted May 17, 2021 #17 Share Posted May 17, 2021 Jeanette Ottesen seems to be ready for her 5th Olympic Games as she was faster than Emily Gantriis in the 4x100m freestyle. It was pretty much a direct race between those two for the last spot at the Olympics (which we aren't a 100 % sure to qualify for yet)
Vektor 3,326 Posted May 17, 2021 #18 Share Posted May 17, 2021 Both Hosszú and Késely have improved slightly in the last few months, but they are still nowhere near their best. Fortunately for Hosszú this might still be enough for the gold here.
dcro 10,210 Posted May 17, 2021 #19 Share Posted May 17, 2021 It's not even funny how terrible our once (2018/19) talented long distance duo became. Total burnouts. Grgić is becoming an expert of not starting races. I wonder if he has been spending time with Di Silvestris. prso1000 1 #banbestmen

Distance swimmers usually peak early, but I never heard of a male distance swimmer peaking at 16, so he might still improve. From a German perspective (Wellbrock) I obviously hope that he won’t do it though ... Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
