Sagan confirmed his interest in starting at the Olympics. It should also be also his last race in the next season 2020. He will have a really busy first 6 months including the classics, Giro, Tdf and Tokyo OG.

He flirted with the idea to compete in Tokyo like it was in Rio in MTB, but then decided to try the classic road race, even if the profile will be too difficult, he said the Tokyo road race will be his very last race of the 2020 season so why not try it and put a "vanavermaet" there :p

His season´s plan will be from 26th January Vuelta a San Juan in :ARG followed by high mountain training camp, then the Classics followed by another training camp - Giro - another training camp - TdF and Tokyo road race.

So after 10 consecutve years he´ll not compete at the World Champs.
