Motorcycle Racing FIM Grand Prix 2021

Honda looked even worse than last weekend. They better get M. Marquez on that bike fast. Headcase Miller another 9th place. Zarco leads the championship after two 2nd place finishes.

The return of Marc Marquez. Let's see, if he has lost a step, or should i say, if the others have gotten better than before.

Excellent start, not so excellent rest of the race. Definitely missing some rhythm :p

Pedro Acosta meanwhile with another superb showing, what a phenomenal rookie season

First one since Daijiro Kato (RIP) to get a podium in his first three GP's. Although interestingly, Kato's first three races were all wildcard entries in Japan (3rd, 1st, 1st) before later he finally got a permanent ride.

Definitely was over excited at the beginning :d Some close calls and shaky turns, which i think led to him taking a step back.

And Rins just throws away the podium..., while Bagnaia makes the best climb so far!

Rins throws away a podium. Zarco throws away a possible podium and his WCh lead. As for the 'lesser gods', Oliveira, Miller and Rossi are out and Pol Espargaro parked his bike with a brake problem.

Quartararo started last year with the wins as well, and we know how that ended. And gets points down for the stupid Ronaldo celebration...

Bagnaia with his best race this year, while Mir does, well what Mir does best, ranking the consistent points race after race. :yes

Used the F1 red flag to watch the finish of Moto2. Raul Fernandez who couldn't win a Moto3 race until the closing stages last season has won in only his third start in Moto2. Big high-side crash for Sam Lowes at the start. That's good for the championship battle.

    • What about Day 2 though? Were the markings correct that day? Because I am still blown away by Mawdsley’s 48.34     I am guessing though it was mainly only affecting the first leg runners?
    • well, those splits were actually suspect   now we know they weren't reliable at all
    • Stories emerging that on Day 1, the track was wrongly marked.  Specifically the start marks for Lane 3 on the 4x400m meant that runners were running short distance.  Don't know what is going to be done, but presumably WA must stand by the results, although any records set will be scrubbed.
    • Had privilege to see  loosing to  live in the arena! Amazing Swedish team!
    • There are things I find pathetic, but saying a competition is unnecessary right after you don't qualify for it is the typical display of a loser. Pietro Maschio, when Conegliano qualifies for the Club World Cup next time, should refuse to participate like the Polish clubs do and stop spouting nonsense.
    • The biggest surprise is that Ranefur (rank 70) won over LSD!
    • Never wanted something to be more wrong then I did now... synchronized skating and no ice cross    And of course we'll probably win the gold medal in it because it's a sport that I hate, the same thing happened with "breaking" aka breakdancing in 2024.
    • No surprise — it’s the result of months of controversy, including media backlash. It all started with the federation’s decision not to select Romei, who is very close to Costantini, for the Olympic Games, and to call up Rebecca Mariani instead. In recent months, the Romeo/Costantini duo allegedly tried to push out Lo Deserto as well, and these are the results…
