General question from a speed tracking newbie:

Have they ever tried to have short track events on long track ? I immagine, it would be less random and less judge proned.

That's called the mass start and it sucks :p  (in current format)

I wanted to add "(I know about the mass start but that's not what I'm talking about)", but I was too lazy to do so. :p

Jorien ter Mors won gold on the 1.000m in long track speed skating (and two golds in 2014) and now a bronze medal as part of the short track relay. First woman ever to win medals in two different sports at the same Olympic Games, according to the Dutch broadcaster.

Maybe Ledecka can be the second later this week.

Yes, he said in an interview (before all this madness :p ) that he had nothing to do with decisions about Knegt because he's doing the women's events, but does that mean he does all women's events, or some of the women's events?

C

I phrased it incorrectly. I meant a medal at two different sports at the same Winter Games. Heikki Hasu was the last man to do so.

Just give them the mecedonian treatment. "Former short track speed skating". The sport of FSTSS.
