Oh well, that's simply important nowadays :p

I'm starting to try and look down less on those things, especially since literally every 'generation' looks down and ridicules the things of the younger 'generation' and will continue to do so. The TikTok generation of today will look with just as much ridicule to the things that the children born today will find interesting and fun when they're 15-20 :p

Commentators knowing or not knowing how to introduce an athlete is not a generational thing, though.

no medals for Nyjah UNBELIEVABLE!

Yeah, that’s tough. He’s won everything there is to win in this sport. He just fell short today.

Hoefler :BRA:clap:

Nice to see the athlete from Peru celebrating with him.

Peru is the best country I've visited in my life. If I had to move away from Brazil, I'd live in Peru, no question about it. I just love Lima so much!

Cool to see Eaton :USA get a medal. I remember watching him when I was 9/10 years old when he made his X Games debut as a 9/10 year old in Big Air. It was cool seeing someone my age competing, and so I’ve always cheered for him.

Nice to see Horigome :JPN win at home as well.

All in all, I’d say this was a fantastic and successful debut for Skateboarding at the Olympics.

    • We have much more events and there may be no Russia in 2026 so most of the NOCs should improve. But not Poland i’m afraid
    • I’ve had 2weeks long Olympic holidays each time since i graduated from the university in ancient times of year 2003   Both winter and summer. Always.   i had those olympic holidays in every job contract 😉
    • For sure better for  one silver - I think it was Shelly Rudman, Skeleton.  Can definitely improve on that.   Still remember it as a good games, though - think it was the first time I took two weeks off work to watch a Winter Games.
