Have you ever thought about why it’s so easy for criminals to get guns in the United States?

Also, and hear me out, what about the “good guys” that end up shooting the wrong “bad guys”. What about the people killed by “accidental shootings”.

Also, again, guns aren’t going to keep criminals away. Their going to do what they do either way. At least if we don’t have guns, there’s an actual no one will be killed in process, and the proper authorities can work to locate and detain the criminal, and bring him to actual justice. Killing someone isn’t justice. Teaching people that murder is wrong, by murdering people, is probably the biggest paradox in history.

The “Law Abiding Citizen” should also have no need for that concealed weapon. The only people with concealed weapons should be SWAT and the armed forces.

I’m not even going to comment on the fact that the “criminal” has been made a darker skin color than the “law abiding citizen”.

Completely agree. I mean, this is really not what a regular civilian needs. The fuck. One can only hope they are just trolling with some props, but you know, 'Murica.

Those aren’t props, there are legit guns :(. Our Constitution also allows for independently armed militias, so yeah

Well i wasn't the one who created this..... but what about the shooting in texas? that would've been a lot worse if there was no one who carried a gun ?

It's easy to get because it's also very easy to get drugs on the streets, because you can always find illegal stuff you can pay for.

You mean you don't feel a lot safer if walking on the streets with those kind of people?

Or it may have not happened at all if access to guns wasn’t so simple.

It’s all about proliferation.

More gun control laws BS. And the obvious idea of striking down the Second Amendment is something that no US politician actually wants. Bunch of clowns and hypocrites :coffee:

Yes, let’s continue to murder our children with inaction!!!

I offer you the simpliest of solutions with repealing the 2nd Amendment. What's so wrong about that? The ever so outdated & racist Poland has such strict gun laws you have a hard time buying a mere air pistol over here. Forget about an assault rifle. Hell, you can legally own a black powder gun manufactured before 1885, a bow and an air pistol/rifle for lead pellets. That is all you have available in Poland. Everything else requires a gun permit which is notoriously difficult to obtain. You can't come in and say you're gonna hunt squirrels so you need a gun permit. They'd laugh you off and kick over to the street.

But here's the thing, the US gun laws are a part of the political battle. In politics so often the chase is more important than the catch. Gun rights is a massive fuel for political bickering and for majority of these politicians it's more important for this keep going on & on rather than solving it.

    • It's good that Argentina is starting to get back on track economically. Every year, all of our alpine skiing teams train in August in Argentina in Ushuaia: "Fine del Mundo", as it advertises itself.
    • The relation of Trump with Russia and, more specific, with Putin is probably the most controversial (being generous) thing of the presidence of Trump, i dont believe the same but is clearly that China help democrats in that election, both are playing their games.   In Argentina the society is clearly divided, the people who are in the left side of the politics, peronist and kirchnerism are very against the goverment, propably the only genuine "rigth-wing" goverment since the recovery of the democracy in 1983. For me and the most part who are in the rigth wing: libertarians, nacionalist and conservatives, is probably the best goverment we see to this days, he made in his first year with a very few legislators in the congress some big and good changes:   1) In the economical: the inflation is only 3% per month since a more of 15% in the last months of the last year, Argentina has now fiscal, financial and comercial surplus-   2) Our country didnt have fighter planes and the goverment buy 24  American F16  -   3) He chances the electoral sistem for a "single ballot" sistem, we have an obsolete electoral sistem that doesnt change from the 19 century and specially, the peronist use for make fraud.   4) In my personal case, he really update the tax sistem for smal/medium profesionals and traders.......and that save us to pay the 50% of our earnings to the state.   With a big expectations in the goverment, its better than i thinked before.
    • It could be better, or it could be much worse, for example, if the accusations that he has been accepting large amounts of money from Russia since 2017 are confirmed. Now let Harris win, which will end Trump's political career and I hope that in 4 years the Republicans will put up someone more predictable.     btw, how is this controversial president of Argentina doing?
    • More predictable is not always better, for me the goverment of Biden was one of the worst of the History of USA and i cant imagine what can happen with even a worse version like Harris is.   I hope, for the contrary, Trump be elected and "may be" the things changes for the better in the world.
    • I once read that Harris had never been to Europe before 2020, when she became vice president. On the other hand, her foreign policy will be more predictable, because it will be a continuation of Biden's policies. That is why I hope Harris wins, although the bookmakers are betting on Trump.
    • Harris is totally green on foreign policy. It will probably be a policy 100% led by Biden's people. Harris' main campaign emphasis is on abortion and women's rights.
    • So much for "everybody's laughing at us if we elect Harris"
    • My favorite tennis tournaments of the year (wta/atp finals)
    • was also invited to the special edition of the Bolivarian Games and seems like  is not participating.
