The small talks between Vietnamese Premier and Vietnamese Defense Minister during break time of US-ASEAN summit in Washington DC on May 13th.

Premier: Fxxk, nothing to fear about the US. They told us not to trust Russia. We don't have trust either.

Defense Minister: The Russia-Ukraine war is caused by the US itself.

(I am not sure if there is English translation version, the subtitle is in Vietnamese)

Right. Vietnam would know how UKR/LTU/LAT/EST/MDA feel about Russian hegemony.

As if Putin's Russia would ever let them be if there were no NATO. Heck, LTU/LAT/EST were finally left alone from their occupier thanks to NATO (and EU).

Sure they are, but only Chinese propaganda would make a thing out of a few houndred communists protesting.
If every protest at that size should get attention, I guess those journalists would be damn busy!

There is hardly a day in Ottawa where you can’t find a few dozen Falun Gong protestors, yet Western media doesn’t give them any coverage (for good reasons).

Do they make a thing out of wanting every single edition of the Nordic World Ski Championships being held in Swedish Falun? Wasn't 2015 enough for now?

Canada wants to decriminalise the possession of cocaine? They actually claim cocaine being illegal is bad for people's mental health? :p

    • Exactly. Recent developments of the construction haven't been particularly encouraging, and while they'll probably get everything sorted just in time, a lot of North American fans have been quite vocal about every minor inconvenience.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
