Finnator123 292 Posted November 7, 2018 #2148 Share Posted November 7, 2018 So the republicans have 43 seats atm. Does this mean that the Senate will have an Red majority?
Olympian1010 7,580 Posted November 7, 2018 #2149 Share Posted November 7, 2018 I’m about to pass out these races are way to close for comfort. Democrats will likely lose a few Senate seats and not flip the Senate. The House will be to close to call tonight I imagine. Republicans have done better in Governor races. State races will be close. Olympian1010 7,580 Posted November 7, 2018 #2150 Share Posted November 7, 2018 The Democrats have had a great (not perfect) night, they will take the house (which will include many democratic socialists (my real party)). The Democrats have already announced that they plan to use committee power to gain Trump’s tax returns and they will most likely launch several investigations into the Trump government. The years leading to 2020 and the 2020 election will be hell for American politics (hopefully because I like political conflict) most likely. The results in state elections still show that we have race issues. However, they also show that woman have gained more political power in the United States. My state will start counting votes in 10 minutes, and I’m excited to see a few results. I’m feeling a resounding meh about the state of the government. It will be an interesting two years. Personally I think that Beto O’Rourke, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and 2 more Democrats I can’t remember the names of, will be the best challengers to run against Trump. The election has shown that Trump can hold is base though, so 2020 will be a fight. George_D 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
