Always surprised that young Americans never fights for a referendum on lowering the alcohol minimum legal drinking age to 18 :p

No legal drinking until you're 21, but driving when you're 16 is ok

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Colorado tried to have a proposition on this:

Also South Dakota, but that was from 21 to 19.

Missouri

And of course, California :p

I think voting, alcohol, and marijuana should be 16

Wtf Aren't these the type of things that the government and not the common citizen should decide? This is plebiscite democracy up to eleven.

I think 18 is young enough actually. There's always exceptions, but there are way too many 16-year olds who are in no way responsible enough to vote, drink or smoke weed. There are 18-year olds like that too obviously, but probably significantly less than 16-year olds.

I know 30 years old that qualify for none too. (I actually have the ultra radical belief that voting age should 14)
