You can see heat selection in live stream.

It's weird because they change the rules TOP10 from 10th to 1st and than 11th to 30th...

11th to 30th normal, but giving the winner the chance to really make a choice instead of just picking a random empty one? Would be fair to the winner..

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Janez Lampič was slower than best women. His sister Anamarija chose the right group, she can advance by time in semifinal, after that all is possible.

So sad for Eva Urevc, but she is closed most of the time in her room, it will be really hard for our girls in Team Sprint. Others performed as expected, although I was hoping for at least Šimenc in top 30.

No, it is completely open.  There’s a big screen, athletes are called up one by one & choose their own place by hitting a big red button.  It has been on TV sometimes.

Yes, I usually watch it, but I got confused because of the mentioned of different rules :p

And any word on Bolshunov doing the other races or not? He withdrew from the sprint because of all the doping questions (ugh), but one can imagine he's not suddenly not angry about that anymore in a few days..

He withdrew because he can't win the gold medal here. He want to conserve energy for other races.

Cross country sprint heat selection gives me some serious StarCraft nostalgia. In big leagues they usually got players to select their own groups (basically you had one seeded player per group, they each picked one player to be in their group, then these players picked one player, and so on until all groups were full). They always made a big show of it with trashtalking and whatnot. Some leagues had elaborate entrances for the players too.

Kind of wild seeing a "real" sport come up with a similar group selection format.

Honestly I think Uganda is the big favourite in the tournament, but anything can happen in three years.     In the other match, the most important one for me , Italy dominated against Hong Kong and won by 155 runs. Some batting was very good, on fielding we can still improve. Compared to the last matches with Hong Kong in the past years there has been a frightening improvement for the Azzurri.

    • Trump's physical health may still be quite good, indeed. Mental health is a different story, judging by almost all of his speeches where he just gets lost in his own words.   But yeah, exactly what you mention: he can literally commit crimes and try and raise a coup, and his electorate won't care at all. That is of course besides the millions of people who might not really want to vote for a person like Trump, but simply believe with his policies they will have a better chance of paying their groceries, which - sad as it is - is definitely an understandable reason.
