 John Virgo (snooker) passed away at the age of 79. He was still commenting on the Masters tournament for BBC last month.

Virgo is considered the most iconic snooker commentator. So much so that people forget he was a good player too

When I started watching Virgo was mainly in the trick shots but quite a few snooker players (active & retired) did that in the mid 90s. His prime playin days were before my time but obviously I realized he was a good player.
