Damn :(

Died due to complications at childbirth, according to Wikipedia - which is the only English 'source' I've found so far, so it is a question.

Unfortunately it is true, she have some kind of disorder in pregnancy called  Pre-eclampsia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-eclampsia

not Olympians, but still...

in 2 days Italy lost 2 of their most famous football players, 2 legends on the opposite sides of Milan and 2 truly greats of our National team...

first, it was "God's Left Foot", FC Inter star, Mario "Mariolino" Corso to leave us at the age of 78...

then yesterday Pietro "Pierino" Prati, AC Milan's legend, died at the age of 73 after long illness...

Not a smart remark, considering:

Quote

Madsen had already rowed across the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean and circumnavigated Britain, as well completing a row from California to Hawaii with a partner.

Hahaha tomorrow she says she want to jump from a mountain what would you do?

Especially during these times I don't think it's smart for something like this. It's better to stay and support your family.

You're not reading the quote, I think. She was doing what she had already succesfully done before, just in a different place this time. It's not like she was doing something dumb, doing something entirely new or something she had no business doing.

So she had to stay and 'support her family' (by doing what, exactly? Chasing dreams seems a better thing to do than just sitting at home watching time pass by).

It’s a big loss for the local Paralympic community. She had acted as a coach and mentor for many young athletes at Angel City Sports. She died trying to push the boundaries of what it means to be and paraplegic. She was an experienced rower, but the ocean is a fickle being.
