More news

On Friday evening further communications were received from the Serbian government informing the EHF that the playing of the matches between Kosovo and Norway on Saturday and Kosovo versus Slovakia on Sunday would not be permitted.

As host and organiser of the event, the Handball Federation of Serbia was asked for confirmation that all of the event’s remaining matches could go ahead and the tournament could be played without further issues.

Having received the answer from the Serbian federation that this was not possible, the EHF reached the difficult decision not to play the remaining matches.

EHF has so massively dropped the ball there in awarding this specific tournament and in the draw. Unbelievable.

Yeah, because for some weird reason Rhein-Neckar had to play in both the Bundesliga and Champions League on the same day :facepalm:Resulting in having to make choices, and they made the choice to basically send a group of amateur players to Poland, with the 'real' Rhein-Neckar playing against Kiel at this very moment.

Ok, THX, I did not know that, I just saw the result and found it interesting :yes

Me too :d

So interesting in fact that I thought "wait...that seems odd", looked at the bookmaker's odds and noticed that in the last hours today the 'handicap line' went from Vive Kielce being 5-6 points favourites to them being almost 20 points favourites, which is really not normal, as if the entire team was suddenly sick and had to be replaced.

Too bad I only saw it after the match, these are exactly the things that give great bets if you know them faster than bookmakers :d

Didn't we agree to disagree? EHF has no fault.

By the way earlier I wrote that it was comparable to judo...and today in Sarajevo in the junior european cup two Serbian judokas withdrew...can you guess why? They are doing this in all sports.

The whole concept of giving "wild cards"  (or rather, selling a quota)  for the world/euro championship / champions league  is wrong in any sport  and should be immediately cancelled.

The connections and opportunities I’ve gained as part of this community played a big role in my career trajectory.   I probably won’t be that active for a while, but I hope you all have a wonderful Olympic Games.
