Bravo

So it's not just me. I thought the problem was with my connection for a sec. But yeah, you have 3 simultaneous sports and everything goes down...

First day and I am already fed up due to the TV graphics. I mean wtf. Slopestyle: No information about the section scores. Ski jumping: No information about the wind conditions (just this STUPID pictogram). Camera ankles in Ski jumping and Luge are a disaster. How can the olympic broadcasting can be so sub standard compared to World Cup events? How is this possblie and who is responsible for this? Quite the same mess already in Tokyo when I think of Shooting.. oh well.

I don't think I'll be watching these Games any more. Not that they aren't fun, but it's obvious from the Opening Ceremony and today's short track that they're all about making a genocidal regime look good + pulling whatever strings possible to get them medals.

There are just better things to do with my time than supporting that. Especially since I'm a child of refugees from Communism, got to have some self-respect :) Bye for now.

We hope everybody can enjoy the Olympics as much as we ordinary Chinese do. The result is unexpected, but the penalty is corroborated by replay. China was penalized for the exact same reason in 2018, we accepted that since it was just. If you have any proof that strings were pulled, please provide evidence.

I feel sorry for your experience in your childhood, and I know you probably won't change your mind. Communism in China might be different than what you felt. Anyway, I hope you fare well in your journey of life.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.

    • Off to Milan for the 145th session of the International Olympic Committee. Although the agenda has not been published yet, there shouldn’t be any major items over these two days, apart from the election of a member of the IOC Executive Board. This will be the eighth time the session is held in Italy, the last one being during the Turin 2006 Olympic Games.
