That successful appeal of :USA in the mixed relay is still something I can hardly understand :lol: Okay let say it was an error of the official who did not bother to explain to the US athlete where they have to stand...well, I remember a couple of moments with officials mistakes but never worked in those cases. 

 

Anyway, it was still a huge advantage for USA, a men will always run faster than a female, and if a M has longer distance to run than W, it is a enormous advantage and is clearly against the basic rules of athletics. USA must be DSQ even if it was a mistake of a referee lol

 

but yeah all countries are apparently equal at the Olympics they usually claim :p

It's a tricky situation, I would let them and :DOM run again in a special heat to try and get a q time. Definitely that heat shouldn't count

      great week for the  crews!    3 wins, 5 medals, a few good placings and Tita / Banti coming back just as good as they were in the Nacra 17, ending up in 4th place only because of a technical fail on their boat (which led them to abandon a race and to a DNS in the following one, when they were comfortably leading the overall standings )   sailing is slowly becoming one of our strongest Olympic sports

      Some participation stats from the LOC/OCA: "A total of 1,635 athletes from all 45 National Olympic Committees of the OCA are taking part in the 6th ABG. This figure comprises 959 male athletes and 676 female athletes. In addition, there are 924 team officials from the 45 NOCs.
