Say hello to the scumbag of Tokyo 2020.

https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/athletics/athlete-profile-n1408926-zarco-alvarez-ivan.htm

Barcelona-born marathon runner representing Honduras. Who got selected for a universality spot after paying another athlete to run under his name to achieve a respectable time - and getting away with it.

Wow, congrats India!! So happy for all the Indian users on here! Enjoy it :champion:

Thanks a lot. We were having a dissapointing games until then. Cold War between the shooters and the coaches, another terrible performance from archers, boxers and wrestlers not able to perform to their expectations never expected gold here in athletics , maybe outside chance of medal i thought.

Btw Neeraj Chopra was around 80kgs at the age of 13 and was forced by his parents to run  daily to lose weight when he saw some people throwing the javelin on the ground which he apparently liked and started the sport.  Had he not been fat we wouldn't have got a gold in Olympics at Tokyo :p

This somehow sounds vaguely familiar, but I can't find anything about it anymore...

And beyond this it appears he lucked himself into the games because another athlete from Honduras couldn't get citizenship

4x400m medalist Terrence Agard had quite the road in his career, especially with a bad neck injury in 2015.  Didn't know it would partially be on his profile, so that makes things easier.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.

    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
