Absolutely.

He deserved this medal. very well done. sad for Tur but he can blame only himself for not reacting to the Gemran attack.

Bit sad farewell for Tóth, one of our biggest athlete, but huge thanks and bravo for everything you did for our sport Matej. Thanks.

Yeah I wished Toth more than this, but with world and Olympic gold, his career is definitely complete :d

It was 40! Only an hour or so to go.

That is maybe a silent protest by Villanueva: He doesn't want the 50km at the Olympics to end and go the way of C2 Slalom and Individual Track Cycling Pursuit.

Wooooow, what a suprise, so amazing! Thanks you Dawid. I will work like a zombie later, but now I am so happy.  Nobody expected that medal, but Top 10 was highly possible for all 3 Polish.

That's it. Dawid is last Olympic champion on 50km race walk! What a beautiful story :cheer:

@Monzanator @Adriano We can count his medal as always at least one surprising medal which always happen at each Games, like Sylwia Bogacka in London or Oktawia Nowacka in Rio :d

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
    • complete blackout resulting in a 5 minutes major 3 minutes to the end
    • Extraliga Playoffs   The Finals (Best-of-7 Series)   Game #6: HC Kometa Brno (4) - HC Dynamo Pardubice (3)  1-5 (0-1, 0-1, 1-3)   the series is tied 3-3 and also in Czechia we're gonna watch the magic of a game 7...Extraliga does never disappoint its fans    Game #7 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th in Pardubice @ 6 p.m. CET
