Over 24 players won't be allowed to practice by 2 weeks (will not able to even leave their rooms) due to two positive covid tests from passangers in one fligt from Los Angeles and one from Abu Dhabi. Among affected players are Kei Nishikori, Sloane Stephens, Victoria Azarenka, Pablo Cuevas, Vasek Pospisil, Tennys Sandgren, Guido Pella, Juan Ignacio Londero, doubles players Artem Sitak and Santiago Gonzalez.

Not 24, but 47. All 47 players will be confined to their rooms and not allowed to train for 2 weeks. You can add Kerber to that list as well.

Flipkens is absolutely right.

And so is Cornet for calling the whole thing (especially the not being allowed to train) insane.

Oh look, the "high class" tennis players once again are growling against the rules, which they all knew, before going to Australia for the big paycheck.. If this was any other less popular sport, the athletes would be locked for the 2 weeks and no one would hear a sound. Let's see, if the strict rules that Australia was clamoring for 5 months now are going to be followed..

Nope, cross that off; now it’s 72.
