Very bad start for :ITA in UCL with one draw: Roma (not bad against Atletico Madrid) and two defeats: Juve (expectable..) and Napoli (wrong approach of the match and wrong starting XI with Mertens on the bench.... )

Maybe the best Euro-week possible for :ITA teams    FIVE won (Juventus, Roma, Napoli, Lazio, Milan) and a draw :yes (Atalanta at Lyon)

It wasn't all easy, but very good results!!!

Italian teams returned strong as before , Calcio this year is a very promising competition with 6 teams can compete for the title or at least going for CL , but Milan is not that satisfying , there's something strange about the team , Montella , Donnarumma , Bonucci , this's not the team that Milan should has after spending almost 200 million euros this summer IMO

Keep calm , was an easy schedule this week, don't forget the day 1 !!!!!

Maybe Italian teams can compete at first/second round, but for the go far is always to see.

Milan is a work in progress, the pressure is high, not only for the money spent, but also for the history of the team; they have a the target: go back in UCL next year, not an easy work for Montella.

Well, Milan isn't a great team after all...

Oh poor Mile Svilar :( This was his first ever match in CL.  btw he broke Iker Casillas's record as the youngest goalkeeper to ever play in the Champions League. He is 18 yo. Btw he will be probably in Serbian u21 team soon.

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
