It is so fun, when there are people quite annoyed over success of Slovenia in this Worlds. Not a single medal was surprise, those who watch Nordic sport seriously, are well aware.

I completely agree. And, i will tell you more, Slovenia wasted a gold medal in the women's ski jumping team.

I definitely don’t follow cross country, but I was very well aware of previous results and I was also aware of the fact that

a) Results in the season usually don’t really matter in sprint, because the top Norwegian/Swedish athletes barely bother

You certainly don't follow cross country when you make that claim.

Wait, there are people annoyed over it's succes or even thinking the medals are surprising? What's next, "wow I didn't expect the Swedish women to win a sprint gold!"? :yikes::rofl:

Sure, Klinec being the one winning the gold took me by a bit of surprise, but the fact that it was a Slovenian winner....not so much, considering recent weeks :d

Curious where Ireland sits here. Do they have a shot at three spots even thanks to TMW?

No chance for a 2nd quota for Croatia as it seems and no 2nd olympics for Crnkovic

So this is how the minor points should go (from the qualification race)... I assume Greece can't score points for their 5th skier. Let's hope so, anyway...

    • Iˇve seen many weak teams in my life of hockey fan, plenty of weak groups, but this one is truly extreme.   They´re basically still kids, so I won´t criticize or insult them behind my keyboards, but it´s really terribly sad to see that we can produce a fantastic generation one year and the next year a group with absolutely zero hockey IQ, who don´t even master the basic elementary hockey elements like puck control.   Leading by 2 goals 4 minutes to go having a 5 minute major power-play and still not win it, that is something new in the hockey history books. At least I do not remember seeing anything like this in my life
