^Stosur losing a match in Australia? How shocking!

At the time Stosur had 0 WTA MD wins herself :p Her first came two weeks later in Australian Open R1 vs Conchita Martinez.

In other news, one of the pinnacles of the tennis season, the Sofia Open started today. :d  The tournament intended, organized and meant for Grigor Dimitrov and the tournament in which Grigor Dimitrov never plays.  At least it allows some of our low ranked players to taste a match with the elite of the tour.

Our Greek friend is silent so you probably can guess Anett Kontaveit won the Ostrava tournament :p

I am silent but unfortunately some Greeks are celebrating today, Maria has many haters in Greece now due to being the girlfriend of the Prime Minister's son. Honestly it is really unfair for her, she is a good girl and never made any political statements yet she is under constant attack. During the Olympics even they were complaining about everything with her.

She is top 10 now and people are still saying she isn't good and is a "loser." Sometimes it is embarrassing having people like this in our country. No matter what they always complain...

Caroline Garcia was defeated 6-3 6-0 by no200 Hontama in Chicago, losing nine games in a row from 3-3 in the first set. The match ended with this double fault that words can't describe.

Garcia is awful, it is hard to imagine she was top 10 and had that winning streak in Asia back in 2017 (was it in 2017?)

Murray said she would be number one in the world

Yes, it was in 2017. I think her career high ranking was in 2018 and since then every year for her is worse than the previous. She looks completely unmotivated at every match she plays except those held in France.

    • fencingtv.com   now it's all there (needs registration, but for now it's free of charge, so it's still OK)
    • many athletes didn't get their visa 2  Schengen , canada , usa ...do it all the time  it's a new strategy to increase the chance of medals
    • Four  (Duguma, Berha, Kalayu, Siyoum) got denied visas even though they competed in Toruń in Febraury  Must be some Schengen visa rules crap?
    • Yep, I actually think this Schwaller team is only just getting better every single year, and there’s not many viable options at third and fourth in the Swiss women’s curling scene, there’s only some good but not great players.   If Paetz and Tirinzoni both retire before the next quadrennial (likely for Tirinzoni, she said at the end of last year that the recent GSOC event would be her last) then Berset-Witschonke-Howald-Hurlimann is the best you can do and I don’t think the firepower is there. If Paetz keeps going, and it’s Witschoke-Howald-Hurlimann-Paetz then it’ll be interesting, but it’s also hard to predict.
    • The Canucks have started their tank this season and now we’re awful, so I’ll only be watching when the playoffs start  at least we get a guaranteed top 3 pick, but even that probably won’t go our way.   Fencing WC’s are interesting yep, if I can find a stream and if our top fencers are competing or make it to the R16 or further.    Speaking of basketball, I forgot about NBA
