Also if it ruins football?

Why would it ruin it?

Some sports even have major tournaments every year.

This wouldn't be so problematic, just scrap useless nations league, confederations cup and reduce number of qualification games.

2026 - world cup

2027 - continental championships (could even use them as WC qualifiers)

2028 - world cup

2029 - free off season

and so on.

Puts a massive strain on the players with both qualifiers and the championships every year. We'd see more injuries meaning a weaker product. Especially when FIFA starts the big Club World Cup.

The handball players hate having the Champs every year (especially in Olympic years). The schedule is way too packed!

Not to mention making it less special!

As everything else, it's all about getting more money for FIFA.

The greed of people never ceases to amaze me. I'm sure they'd love to make it every 2 months, if they could. And with matches from 12 am to 12 pm, just like we went from 2 matches a day, to 3 matches, to now 4 matches a day.......

Belgium 1-1 Greece (international friendly)

So in 2021 so far we had draws at Spain and Belgium. Not bad for a team that hasn't qualified for a tournament since 2014 World Cup.

That gives me hope. I mean, Corona took a very early lead and a second lead later on, but got defeated in the end :p

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
