The end of an era in Hot Dog eating. :yikes: This is like Lionel Messi signing a contract to play nothing but indoor 5-a-Side. :(

Joey Chestnut, the competitive eating legend, is banned for the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition on July 4 due to a sponsorship conflict.

How can this sport be justified for 2028? insane

It’s a different sport to be fair. And Canada lost their opening game to Austria

Of course, flag football should 100% not be in the Olympics so don’t see this as a defence for that decision!

Congratulations to Patrick Bartoletti, but sadly in the eyes of most fans of Hot-Dog Eating, there will always be an asterisk against his name.  Hopefully there can be some equivalent of the 1980 or 1984 Zurich Athletics Meets which pitted Olympic Champions against the best athletes from the boycotting nations.

Patrick Bertoletti, of Chicago, managed to gobble down 58 hot dogs to win his first men's title at the annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest.

Tip for everyone in the World Orienteering Championships in Edinburgh: if you are running past my flat you are way off course & need to go back up the hill to the School. Do not stop for fish & chips.

You're not handing out free samples to the visiting athletes :( :p
