From qualification system... It makes absolutely no sense. European quota should go to Moldova then but Moldova also competed here!!

Luckily we don't have enough way too complicated situations in the qualification for all sports yet

48kg

Matkowska :POL and Phohat :IND qualified for Rio

The Polish athlete Iwona Matkowska win 12-2 versus the asian athlete Erdensükhiin Narangerel :MGL in semifinals and Vinesh Pogat become 1st not-European athlete to win a quota in women's competition. The Indian has beat 12-2 Evin Demirhal :TUR

In the 48 kg category both  have been overwhelming ....... I would love to see the final though it may be non-serious ..... In the very next bout India added the second non european - SAKSHI !!!!

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.

    • Yes, he is ones of the first supporters of Milei, owner of one of the most important stock market of Argentina (Bull market), he was peronist and for "unknown reasons" start to be libertarian.   Even being libertarian in my case, i have to admit that him is one of the dumbest of "Milei supporters" and a clown when  he is in TV, he made me feel  embarrassed in many occasions.   Camila Giorgi being with him is.......inconceivable.
