Im not sure about that, we were sure about Jokic, but I thought that Bjelica will be ok. Second competiton in a row without him. And he is best player in team after Teodosic. Bogdanovic was great this season and he can be best player this year.

Jovic, Mirosavljevic, Simonovic had problems with injuries in last part of season. We will see.

Argentina names 18-player preliminary list for the FIBA AmeriCup

4 Luis SCOLA (Argentina); 7 Facundo CAMPAZZO (Argentina)

BUENOS AIRES (FIBA AmeriCup 2017) - With clear objectives set, Argentina’s National Team Coach Sergio Hernandez announced his 18-player preliminary list for the FIBA AmeriCup 2017.

Argentina's 18-player preliminary list for FIBA AmeriCup 2017

Facundo Campazzo

Nicolás Laprovittola

Luca Vildoza

José Vildoza
Nicolás Brussino

Lucio Redivo

Máximo Fjellerup

Eric Flor
Patricio Garino

Gabriel Deck

Juan Pablo Vaulet

Erik Thomas
Javier Saiz

Luis Scola

Marcos Nicolás Delía

Roberto Acuña
Tayavek Gallizzi

Francisco Caffaro

"This tournament is an ideal opportunity to continue this generational change, which has been fighting for its space since the Pan American Games in Toronto 2015. The expectation is high, we have two clear objectives: win the AmeriCup and continue with the international projection of players, commanded by the experience and the hierarchy of Captain Luis Scola. It will also be a good chance to watch other guys who were not in previous processes of the National Team," said coach Sergio Hernandez.

"Playing in Argentina gives us an even greater illusion, since there are not so many opportunities to host official tournaments. We will do everything we can to be up to the challenge," added the coach.

Argentina’s preparation will begin on July 31 at the CENARD and prior to the start of the AmeriCup, Sergio Hernandez's team will face Uruguay in two friendlies on August 12 and 13, and then they will host Colombia, Uruguay and Brazil for a preparation tournament on August 19, 18 and 20 in Salta, Argentina.

Argentina, main organizer of continental competition, will be part of Group B in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, and will debut on August 27 against Venezuela, then face Canada and Virgin Islands in consecutive days. The best teams of the Group Phase will advance to Cordoba, Argentina, where the FIBA AmeriCup 2017 Champion will be crowned.

wow Latvia won European gold in 3x3 basketball. Silver for Slovenia and bronze for Ukraine.

No medals for Serbia, Netherlands and France (FIRST 3 TEAMS on WC).

Champion in women's competition is Russia, silver for Spain and bronze for Netherlands.

-----------------------------------------

I really don't know why our team is always bad on EC. They only have one silver from EC. And tiny bronze from EG. Probably they don't care too much about EC. BUT probably this will be qualification tournament for Tokyo, so Serbian team dislike this

:CAN Canada (U19) is the World Champion!!! Unbelievable, first ever medal in the tournament, and first ever  gold medal in an international FIBA Tournament!!!

Congrats, despite missing many of your best talents like Dort or Shittu.

RJ Barrett ... MVP despite being 2 years younger, just insane. There is no way that he wont be drafted first in 2019. Canada has a very bright future ahead. Canada, France and Australia should play for the minor medals from 2020 on, maybe together with Croatia and Spain/Serbia.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
