Personally I would rather keep the open doubles because otherwise it will keep limiting the number of competitive nations. I believe they announced earlier that all 4 events will be a part of the relay. I always found them rather dull, but with 4 legs it will become even more predictable, and frankly, unwatchable. It does have the good effect of making the last eight cutoff point a lot less predictable, but the medals generally go to the usual nations.
