"The mixed relay, which was introduced in 2014, has been modified for this year's Games. Four years ago, the exhibition 8x100m event was staged just for track and field athletes. This year it has been opened up to all sports. For example, track and field athletes will feature on teams alongside participants from the 32 other sports taking place in Buenos Aires."

How about a marathon relay where each member runs 1km in their sport's uniform (plus shoes for swimmers/divers etc), each team must include at least 20 sports.

Mixed of course or else it wouldn’t be a legitimate Olympic event.
