however, I also think Lukan is the main favourite (with Lettner having also an outside chance, the lead section should be an affair between those 2...but still...climbing is always a "risky" sport)...

sure...their top athletes already think about the real Olympic medals at this age (especially in sports like swimming and gymnastics, where you normally can excel at a very young age)...

so, why wasting their energy and time for such a meaningless (for what concerns the real sport stuff) festival like this?

I mean...for those who are participating it's surely a great life experience, but the actual sport competition is almost senseless...I don't want to say it's a farce, but we're really close to that...

US only sends top athletes to sports that actually attempt to have top talent.

Indeed, 18 year olds are hardly youth in women's swimming... I mean, not so long ago swimmers used to retire at 20 or something.

We have Kliment Kolesnikov. I don't understand why he should participate here. Apparently for the number of medals.
