We finally found a speed skating (long or short track) event where we can beat  for gold :P

Coming into the Olympics, the Dutch were. Netherlands were in such bad form in the individual events though, that while it was still open for gold, Canada became the favourites. Even if Weidemann struggled.

I do think winning the QF ended up being really important. Both  and  looked really tired in their respective final.

The women's mass start will be open because Groenevold is beatable here, so Lollobrigida and the Canadians can fight for gold.

Italy won this competition in 2006 in Turin: it was Olympic debut for team pursuit on OG. We defeated Canada in the final in that time.
