Win for :CAN over :SWE :)

8-6 final to start 3-0, they’re playing well so far, but still a long tournament to go.

Hopefully Edin and :SWE can rebound in his remaining matches ofc and still make the playoffs :yes

I know it’s terrible sportsmanship, and I don’t respect it at all, to me it’s funny though that they keep getting mad at/trying to argue with him

Oscar seems like a very nice guy, so getting him heated… yeah you’re probably in the wrong…

And this conversation😂

Oskar: Did you see it?

Referee: Yes

Oskar: So it is allowed?

Referee: (just looking at him)

Then directly after, Hebert instead accusing Oskar of the same thing.

After this the canadians stand extra close to the hog line on Oskars stones like if they need to look for his violations.

tried to post some photos from one of the situations with Kennedys release but the files was to big.

Oskar has been talking even before Olympics that he has been worried about teams doing this in a systematic way so I guess he is extra careful looking at the opponents. I have also seen diskussions on different forums about Kennedys release (and also about Mosaner about the same thing) so I guess this is not something new. You need to have practiced on these touches to be able to use it.

Mission accomplished - it was very hard to lose given the situation we were in with two stones to go in the 10th, but our guys did it.

Still :SUI to go :p and :CHN:GER have caused issues for a lot of teams recently (but I don't want to say anything, because...)

You can upload the photos to https://imgur.com, and then copy image address after you're finished it should work

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
