What I meant was two countries occupy all the individual podiums so far.

2x NOR, 1x FRA Men's Individual

2x FRA, 1x BUL Women's Individual

2x NOR, 1x FRA Men's Sprint

2x FRA, 1x NOR Women's Sprint

Also loving the NOR-FRA rivalry that has extended beyond biathlon in winter sports now (cross country, or the pairing Eitrem-Loubineaud yesterday). :d

20 years ago Germany and Russia dominated in womens events, when I remember good.

Italy only has some individuas, but here we're objectively skiijn too slowly. Vittozzi's 18th fastest time today is disastrous, as Todorova is ahead of her with one penalty lap. Something went wrong in the preparations, as Giacomel is also skiing slower. With good form, Vittozzi should be skiing at Todorova's level: 5-6 places.

:SWE nightmare continues. Antholz ain't their venue...

The commentators in TNT here in :GBR said they think that is because of the attitude and the difficulty of easily doing attitude training in Sweden.

Actually Swedes did some altitude camp before these Games but it obviously didn't work. Antholz has the highest altitude among regular World Cup venues and Sweden usually struggles here more than other venues.

I read they try to convince Ponsiluoma to do the men's cross country relay but Idk if that's just a distraction talk.

The biggest loser at now is Giacomel – he's always been a great skier here in Antholz, and now he's not only shooting terribly, but he's not even in the top 3 on skis. Vittozzi has never felt good here, so her poor form doesn't surprise me. Wierer is different, but unfortunately, this isn't 2020, it's 2026, but even Wierer is in his worst form of the entire season here. It`s not normal, for me... France and Norway have been investing the most in this sport for several years, so their dominance isn't surprising. This is the same example as Switzerland in Alpine skiing – if a wealthy country enters a some sport seriously, it must have significant success. The only surprising thing is that Germany has so gave up biathlon, where there are 11 sets of medals up for grabs at the Olympics. They, of course, would have the resources to compete with France and Norway, but Italy not. Wierer and Vittozzi will leave and we will return to the times around 2010.
