:NOR Kirkeeide is a prime example of a typical Norwegian biathlete from 10 years ago and prior (before the current Boe era on the men's side). Always amongst the very fast in skiing, not much reliable in the shooting. But when the shooting hits zero, a pretty much unstoppable athlete.

Yes, Frode Andresen, Lars Berger and Tora Berger at the start of her career. If Kirkeeide limits the bad shooting days like Tora finally did, she's gonna dominate the World Cup & co.

I don't understand what's happening to her, 4 misses is not unusual but her ski time??

Now I'm thinking they may not include her in the relay, in favor of Camille Bened who showed great things in the individual. But I don't know if changing the lineup at the last minute is the best idea.

Simon's skiing was bad today too, and she said she felt a bit sick during the race, so I'm starting to feel pessimistic about the women's relay.

Bened definitely should be on the relay over JBB and is a much more reliable shooter. The first leg is generally not too fast so if she goes first, she shouldn't lose that much time if she shoots clean.

Lou still in the running for the "sweep" of six podiums 😎

I don't know if it's just a matter of skis or if there's also an issue with the athletes' physical condition, but the skiing speed of the entire team is unbelievably bad.

Unfortunately, with better speed at skies Wierer and Vittozzi could have medal here. Our team messed up the preparations for this event, and it's going to be a flop. Vittozzi and Wierer are skiing their worst here all season- worse than the Bulgarians and Poles...

Under different condtitions, Vittozzi would be in a good position to attack tomorrow, but she's skiing for 17th or 18th place... If only she could skiing for 10th, she will have a chance... Wierer is also completely out of form. In fact, only Carrara is skiing at her level here. So much for preparing for the Olympics at home, and we have one medal in the mixed relay...

All individual races occupied by athletes from two countries so far.

And Bulgaria :BUL

What I meant was two countries occupy all the individual podiums so far.

2x NOR, 1x FRA Men's Individual

2x FRA, 1x BUL Women's Individual

2x NOR, 1x FRA Men's Sprint

2x FRA, 1x NOR Women's Sprint

Also loving the NOR-FRA rivalry that has extended beyond biathlon in winter sports now (men's cross country, or the pairing Eitrem-Loubineaud yesterday). :d
