Yes, at the beginning he wasn't selected to represent us, but other, better skier Piotr Habdas was choosen to compete but our NOC did changed decision of Skiing Federation and Jasiczek after all is here, its long story which I already post it here few days before start the Games.

If it weren't for the team event, we wouldn't have won a medal in this sport. However, it's disappointing that most of our skaters aren't in the best shape of their careers here, or even of this season... This is a sport where home ice should help (better jury ratings), and we should win at least these two medals here. But we have: - the dance pair was at its peak in 2023, - Conti/Macii today had probably its worst short program in 2 years, - Grassl also performed much worse than he has all of season – he even had a chance for a medal, considering Malinin and the Frenchman's failures. -

I looked up his bio on the Fis website upon reading your post, and dammit. I could name a few slalom specialists whom I consider too DNF-prone, but this man might be the ultimate boss of DNFs.
