Cross-Country Skiing FIS World Cup 2024 - 2025

Recommended Posts

Fun fact, with todays win Therese Johaug becomes the third oldest winner in the women's World Cup. Above her are :NOR Hilde Pedersen at 41 years and of course :NOR Marit Bjorgen at almost 38 years.

Oh great, the Nowegian Championships presented by FIS have started again

Zero interest in this sport at this stage. I'll probably tune in to watch a couple of races at the World Champs and that is that. Actually emeritus Johaug winning makes Norwegians look kinda awkward. Guess their Next Gen isn't that sharp whatsoever but like who outside of Norway (and maybe Sweden) cares?

After the Ruka disaster in the prologue, Jonna Sundling is back in the lead as usual: 6 seconds ahead of second-placed Jasmin Joensuu.
In the men's race, Ben Odgen beats Klæbo in an incredibly close prologue, which will be dramatically close later.

Out at the first round. Just needs to get his tactical brain working.

Thank God for giving us Federico Pellegrino, who at 34 is still capable of standing on the World Cup podium... The question is, where are the others? I guess we can already say that de Fabiani is a wasted talent :( It's a shame to talk about the girls... - our last podium finisher was Arianna Follis in... 2011:cry:

    • Well, it still hasn’t settled in an hour later.   This team has given me so many heartbreaks over the years it’s actually insane. I can’t imagine having to endure to this for multiple decades. Even if we have some luck, we’re just not destined to finish the job.   I don’t know. This sucks. Everyone in the country would be over the moon if someone told us about finishing fourth before the tournament, but it just sucks. Not getting to see them with the medals, not getting to see them cheerfuly answering questions from the media, I don’t know.   I mean, yeah, fourth place is great. No matter how the games looked like, we can claim we’re the fourth best team after the tournament, no one can take that away. But to imagine we were one game from celebrating with the players on the main square in the capital, I don’t even want to imagine. I don’t know.
