Top 2 in each pool advance to round of 32. 4 top ranked 3rd placed teams also advance to round of 32. Remaining 3rd placed teams go into lucky loser play-offs

Åhman/Hellvig almost surely will advance but pool C

I’ll try and take a crack at predicting the pool stage outcome, let’s not come back to this in a month though because chances are I’ll be way off as usual whenever I make predictions 

Men

A:  Mol/Sørum and  Heidrich/Jordan

B:  Boermans/De Groot and  Mol/Berntsen

C:  Åhman/Hellvig and  George/Saymon

D:  Henning/Wust and  Evandro/Arthur (again, deviating from seeding)

E:  Bryl/Losiak and  Dressler/Waller

F:  Pedrosa/Campos and  Diaz/Alayo

G:  Holting Nilsson/Andersson,  Bello/Bello

H:  Plavins/Fokerots,  Perusic/Schweiner

I: Schalk/Shaw,  Penniga/Immers

J:  Cherif/Ahmed,  Hammarberg/Berger

K:  Ehlers/Wickler,  Scachter/Pickett (maybe it’s wishful thinking )

L:  Bassereau/Aye,  Grimalt/Grimalt

 

Lucky Losers:  Andre/Renato,  Carracher/Nicolaidis,  Rotar/Gauthier Rat,  Budinger/Evans

I just hope that Ahman/Hellvig don't do the same as they did at the Olympics and play poorly in the first round and face our best pair before the semifinals (assuming we beat this excellent German duo).

Well, maybe in the playoffs the Swedish pair will come back with a different rhythm, just like they did in Paris.
