In general, my school is not too picky. They're fine if we need a personal day (whether we're physically sick, mentally need a break, have to travel, etc.). They will care a little more (and might say no) if you want to take a day off right before/after a long weekend/break, or if you ask for two consecutive days off. -

You can just ask for that without any justification?. So jealous (same profession). -
I was fearing they'd bend to IOC's stupid format eventually... it's a small sport without much leverage. I hope handball and water polo resist.

Yeah, I am rather sceptical. I agrre, This is how it should work in a normal world, but here we are speaking about a world rulled by dollars. NHL is long time now not anymore about sport but about business. They will find a way to put Russia in Canadian group, and manage the schedule to avoid "sensible" games. Dollar will always buy anything in NHL lords eyes -

Yeah just saw the FIH website. What a stupid format. Makes the group stages not very important for weaker teams. -
