Officially starting.

Not sure what you’re watching, because I’m pretty sure the opening ceremony hasn’t actually started yet :p

:IND initially was allowed 68 athletes in the opening ceremony due to space constraint in the boat.

Now 10 more athletes are allowed. The Indian officials managed tickets for a total of 78 athletes at the opening ceremony.

It was a glorious idea... until they started limiting the number of athletes allowed at the parade. Having 400 people and only 140 are allowed.  I don't want to be that guy, that goes and tells people "you can't come", when it could be their lifelong dream to be at the Opening Ceremony.

Can't speak for all teams, but quite a lot of athletes have very good reason not to participate... Like participating the day after, having training slots, being careful with small injuries or not arriving yet. It's a rather long day for them!

At least in Denmark those who want to can participate,

For real? Yeah, that sucks....

Also organizationally it's not really going well yet, journalists were more or less randomly sent whereever in the hope they'd arrive more or less in the rightish spot in time for the broadcasts, nobody has any maps or schedules or anything :d
