Fencing at the Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

Recommended Posts

Nothing new, Russian officials said (and did) much worse about Sergey Bida and his wife, and he can't even compete internationally for the US.

Poland - I mean WHY?! Why change the best fencer in the team (A. Klasik)? Because she was only 20? Because she "still has time"? Because the others "earned it" in the past? This is a very, very rotten way of thinking from the Polish coaches.

Fourth final featuring fencers from the same NOC in the six times it has been in the Olympics.

On all four occasions, the lowest ranked fencer (at the time of the final) won gold.

not an injury? that's quite a risk to use the sub so early.

The changed fencer said in an interview it was planned before. She did not seem upset but still the decision is not really understandable looking forward to the next bouts. I keep my fingers crossed, but still it was so, so weird.

:EGY fencer Nada Hafez has revealed she competed at the Paris Olympics on Monday while seven months pregnant.

The 26-year-old won her first match in the women's individual sabre competition, but was then knocked out in the last 16.
