There's no easy answer for this and can sometimes get a bit philosophical. "What is a woman?" "Does the sport classification of a woman differ?" "If so, in what ways?" "Do some biological women not fit the definition of a sports classification woman?" "Can some trans women fit the definition of a sports classification woman?"

Not a fun exercise...

Or male athletes with lower hormonal level...let them increase it? Sure no but in mediana we are looking for ideal world / rules/ justice. Non-existent idea. We are not ideal, this is not a theory. Bad luck for women imo that they are under stronger pressure of characteristics "proving they are female". Often created by us. We have it much easier. Male looking woman has i think much more difficult life than "female looking male". Imagine....😉 Oh Lennon, you were right.

I want to ask a question:

A local Russia specialist wrote about this saga and Russia’s role in it and he says one of the two boxers in question (maybe Khalif but not remember which one) defeated a Russian boxer who was unbeaten before. After that came the DQ which conveniently erased this result thereby restoring the Russian’s unbeaten-ness. He says that there might be why the Russian influenced IBA took up this issue at that particular time. (Seemingly it did not bother them that these two athletes competed for a while in IBA events)

What do you think about this? Might there be sth in his assertion?

There is also a point where having too low of hormones levels should qualify you for a TUE, because it becomes a health hazzard.

Both things can be true at the same time: maybe the current Olympic boxing rules aren't adequately handling athletes with DSD *and* maybe these two boxers were targeted because they defeated Russian boxers.

Either way, I do feel we should take everything the IBA says with a lot of skepticism.

Two of the boxing judges and referees (both Kazakh) were stood down during the Olympics due to corruption fears, only after they had judged/refereed almost 50 bouts. They were removed from duties prior to the medal bouts.

Nine judges/referees at the tournament were included in the ‘high risk’ of corruption category by McClaren.
