Nicholas Zhang wins the men's épée quota

 

Camargo was ahead 14-12 with seven seconds left, but gave up two quick points (which basically never happens in épée). Really miraculous comeback by Zhang.

Well I have to say I wasn’t expecting that comeback 

 

 Nicolas Zhang was down 12-14 with seven seconds left but somehow managed to win it in overtime (slightly controversial point for Zhang at 14-14 but whatever)

I don't have a lot of sympathy for fencers who are backing away in the dying seconds and give up a dodgy point (and I doubt many referees do either)

This wasn’t meant to be a jinx lmao,  Zhang was down and out of it and I thought he had no chance. 
 

Guess I have to start doing this during every single Olympic qualification event now
