well, in London the end was better..as the last event was modern pentathlon and the beautiful gold for the beautiful Laura Asadauskaite also all fantastic emotions from the crowd by the Samantha Murray silver and unstopable joy of the bronze brazilian medalist Yane Marques. :d

For me this was a better ending, as Modern Pentathlon is the sport I dislike the more on Olympics (I'm always hoping to see it gone) and because I love to see US Basketball team.

I'm just a bit sad as I expected a little more from Serbia, but well, Durant+Thompson+Anthony... What an you do against them....

Well what to say about Americans. We play this game for only ten minutes, and then press pause button. However silver medal is great achievment for our team, plus bronze medal for women team. Amazing tournament for us.

And tomorow is first POD day - first day of post olympic depression :(

I watched also the dressage events, even I had no clue at all and I was mainly amazed and focused on the horses..btw didn´t it hurt the horses all these bridles ? I know stupid question..but Im definitely not a often viewer of equestrian so I know nothing about it...but I have to learn if my country want organize the world equestrian games :d

and yes I watched also the eventing finals (jumping first session for teams and second for individuals) and it was great too even if I watched only few, the last riders because it was scheduled as you know at same time as our first medal in Rio in C1 canoe slalom :d

    • is having its general election today.   In a big turnaround, the Liberals lead by Mark Carney are now ahead in the polls, after having been over 20 points behind as recently as December. This is mostly credited to the resignation of Justin Trudeau and America's on and off trade war, along with comments Donald Trump made about Canada becoming the 51st state.   While the Liberals are favoured to win a fourth consecutive election, there is a lot of uncertainty around whether it will be a majority or a minority government. There is also an outside chance of the Conservatives, lead by Piere Poilievre, will form a minority government.
    • Ukraine has made progress recently and lost yesterday on penalties to the UK, but that still doesn't explain why the Italian team isn't making any progress. We are sitting in a lower division for 3 years and that's with a ban for Rus and Blr. New and great coaches are being brought in and it's not giving any results. 8-10 years ago we were regularly playing in the highest division, every 2 years and that was with a much stronger teams (Russia and Belarus were there). I don't know where the problem is.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
