Gelinas-Beaulieu is kind of the king of the side events here, taking medals in the team sprint, team pursuit and mass start  

 

Would have loved to see him take the gold today, but silver was awesome.

The women's 5.000m about to start with  Horikawa and  Weidemann in pair 1. Both have good chances of finishing top 5 or even on the podium. It'll be interesting to see the time they can set.

Joy Beune faster than Schouten

Surprising gold medal for  Joy Beune who had big doubts whether she should start here as the 1.500m that will be skated in about 3 hours from now is her favorite distance that she won in Quebec during the last World Cup weekend of the season.
