The second round heats have not turned out well for . Whilst Norman should be favourite to come through his heat, it's looking near impossible for Barton to come through hers with Vassi, Baum and Brooks. Furthermore, if all goes to plan Strong is set to have Florence in his heat along with the already confirmed Tudela. Brown should be OK if she comes through her first round heat, as should both Dillon and Sandland in the repechage.

Already qualified Olympian Sanoa Olin and Levi Young both won their heats and are through to round two!

4/4 for  on Day 1 with Erin Brooks and Cody Young also winning their heats, and advancing to round two!

Brilliant from  Sky Brown to get to the third round. Stanley Norman gets there as expected and Arran Strong pulls off a shock as he pips  Tudela to reach the third round. Barton was unlucky in her heat, hopefully she can have a run in the repechage with easier competiton. Sandland and Luke Dillon making it through would round off the day.

 surfers both relegated to the 1st repechage. I imagine they won't go much further, but hopefully they stay with the sport. It'd be nice to see some representation at the CAC/Pan Am Games.

4/6 in 3rd heat. NoT bad. Really strong surfing from all of them, hopefully some of them could advanced a few more heats.

 

Sad for Kai, a mistake make him have a whave count in half and he was send to repecheage. He can still advance there but its harder.
