Very difficult to see different names on the podium. Yes, but I think a majority of viewers haven't been there Not saying it's bad, and in the case of Beijing, most were pretty recognizable as well. It's just that the main thing in the design should always be recognizability, far and away ahead of everything else, and especially some Summer Olympics seem to put that on the backseat in favour of making something 'unique'.
