Anyone knows why FIL always removes videos at the end of the season?

Let's see if any of Tim Singer, Martin Haven, Bree Schaaf etc have an answer to that :p Probably not, but it's not like there's that much else to do.

I would guess that has something to do with either storage capacity on their streaming platform, or television rights from the host broadcaster.

I was not able to watch the last few races before it was taken offline. I planned to but it was the height of the coronachaos...

Well if this is the discussion thread: what do you think what is the chance that there will even be a luge season in 2020/21? :D

Good actually. They can close off the tracks to spectators, and probably follow social distancing guidelines well.

If storage was such a problem, one could easily put it on YouTube. Besides, if you can't pay for a couple of terabytes of storage, what on earth are you doing as federation? :p

No, FIL scores major points in terms of the way they broadcast things during the season, but they lose half of those points with stuff like this.

    • Also like Russia is already a European country for sports purposes anyway…
    • Somewhat late, but just started watching the season now....but what's up with the 8 athlete boulder final format?!   The final was always super easy to watch and follow along, one attempt at a time, but now after a little bit, there are two athletes climbing at the same time, so it quickly turns into a broadcast mess like semis with the focus being on one athlete and meanwhile hearing the crowd reacting to something we aren't seeing....how on earth is this good?
    • "More medals for Europe"   *checks results of this athlete*   Ah, two World Cup participations, 40th and 50th. I wouldn't worry too much just yet, given the Austrian strength as of now I'd assume we won't see her in World Cups for a while
    • It looks like these European regional champions are only able to perform in the soft European winters during the off season and that they aren’t built for the crucible of summer, when God intended for people to play soccer.   Sure PSG won League 1 and the Champions League, but can they do it on a sunny night in Los Angeles? So far the answer is no.
