-7 points for Netherlands (approximately), which cuts their lead to about 10.5 points (approximately) over Canada for the final Olympic quota. If Japan win in 3/4 against Canada later tonight, Canada will need at least a 3-1 win over Netherlands. If Japan win in 5, Canada will need any win against Netherlands. Basically, what I’m saying is that it’ll come down to the head to head match.  
 

Watch all of these calculations be for nothing

 winning a set against  doesn’t really do much for them… only two sets does. A win doesn’t do much for them either. 
 

Even if they win a set against Japan, they’ll still have to beat Netherlands in 3/4 (way more likely)

Small correction actually, let’s say Canada does beat Japan (not happening but hypothetically speaking), wins against Netherlands and France by any margin would be enough.
