 lost outside hitter Elena Pietrini for at least the entire Summer 2024 (VNL, but also Olympics) 

 

official reason is still undisclosed, but it should be related to her well known back problems (she might need surgery)

Eve is back for week 2, but still no Brenda or de la Cruz. Still, after coming off a loss to South Korea (prior to that match they were on a 30 match losing streak at VNL), with South Korea scoring 20 more points in that match, this is a huge surprise.

A guaranteed quarterfinal place for  , because they play against Kenia. Don't like the fact France is seeded 1st.
